Anyone using these guys for your CC processing:
http://www.wfsecuresource.com/wps_pricing.html
The pricing is lower than 2checkout but I can't find anything about recurring monthly/quarterly/yearly billing.
Currently I use 2checkout and would like to get those fees a bit more in line as it's costing roughly $1000 a month in fees! A couple % difference and 10 or 20 cents per transaction savings would make a big difference in my bottom line.
Info and experience with the Wells Fargo guys is appreciated, thanks!

If you are paying a $1000 in fees to 2Checkout then you probably should get a REAL merchant account...

From the web site you gave:
Setup/Enrollment Fee
$99.00
Monthly Fee
$39.00 + .30 transaction fee + .60% fraud screen +2.35 or 3.25% discount fee
This may or may not include the gateway monthly fee. For example most merchants with Authrorize.net are charged between 5 and 25 dollars per month to use the Auth.net gateway.
I use Wells Fargo for my checking needs and they have been ok.
I don't have personal experience with them myself but
Echo Online (http://echo-inc.com/echonline_rates.html) offers something comparable for a better price. ;)
Might be worth checking out (no pun intended :D)!

My biggest concern is no-fuss recurring billing, and I'd like to forego keeping CC#'s in my possession. That's why I like 2checkout so much, no muss no fuss recurring billing and I just use the simple html links for sales. But I wouldn't mind maybe whittling a bit off of the fees I'm paying!

I looked into ECHO but they had a couple of problems.
1. You can only do monthly billing, no yearly or quarterly billing.
2. You must use their banking account they give you. You can't use your own. Funds are deposited twice a month.

Mike D. from 2Checkout:
We had planned to launch a handful of different Merchant Options and different rate plans this month. This would include enabling us to issue Merchant Accounts, and adding the option to have your business name appear on CC statements. Obviously the launch was put on the "back burner" until we corrected the server situation.
It sounds like 2Checkout will be offering different rates aswell as the ability to upgrade to a real merchant account. I think if this becomes a reality you're better off sitting tight with 2Checkout.
Just a thought. :D

I heard about that too, but then heard nothing else and started getting impatient.
Guess I'll wait a few more weeks on 2checkout to get some new options rolling.

Authorize.net system is pretty easy to interact with.. It would take nothing at all to setup a system for "recurring" billing with them.. As for storing the credit cards, You encrypt them in the database, And using encoder from zend you encode all your php files so even if someone did hack your system they couldnt get the encryption method/hash to the database.
All very easy stuff to do
