Hello,

I am desperate because due to an error in the spamcop.net software, my host decided to suspend my site saying it was an ABUSE CASE. I asked them what was wrong, why they did that and, they couldn't give an intelligent answer, they simply sent a lot of links not for my case but general, and they provided me with the report from that pathetic software. That report said nothing. It only mentioned a legend we had years ago in a page that no longer is linked and which does not have any means of contact.

My present host does not seem to have the intention of helping in any way. They just said and I quote: "We are not responsible for the software. It is 3rd party. What we are responsible for is keeping the server alive and in good health. Im sure you can understand this.".

With a site suspended I cannot even move to a decent host. How can it be that one can be hopeless in front of such a situation where the only one abusing is my host...

Can anyone please help me and advice me?

Thank you very much

What's your website address, or at least the IP address?

This will allow us, the WHT community, to lookup the IP address at Spamcop to see what you may have been listed for. Spamcop can sometimes be a pain to get unlisted from, and they quite often incorrectly blacklist addresses.

As for being suspended, I don't think most hosts will even check your website. You can always include what happened in a pre-sales question so they are made aware of the facts, just in case.
