CPanel is.

Of course, that's just my opinion. And every other reply you get will just be someone's opinion as well -- there is no "best" control panel. Different people have different tastes and preferences, and thus will like different control panels.

I've used Plesk and CPanel and my vote goes for CPanel. (No real experience with HSphere, sorry.) As FDrive stated though, it's only your opinion and preference that matters here.

I'd suggest running the demo versions of all the control panels you're considering and find out which you prefer.

I've used Plesk and CPanel and tried out Hsphere & Ensim. My vote goes to Cpanel. I think the best Cpanel is Cpanel, too.:D

I've used plesk, cpanel, and ensim, never used h-sphere but heard good stuff about it.

- Ensim is by far the worst of the bunch IMHO
- Plesk is quite functional, but it's extremely feature lacking and bleak, theres just not many options.
- CPanel/WHM is great, its updated constantly (sometimes as many as 15 times per week), keeps software up to date, everything you'd expect to see in a control panel

- Webmin is functional, but is not appropriate for a hosting environment without serious modification
- Web.cp is cute, but has absolutly no functionality (last tested v.51).
- Hostgui ..... Still waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting.... vaporware? :eek2:

Hope that helps :)

CPanel is the best control panel, IMO.

I like ensim for administering accounts, but the clients like cpanel... you can't win :)

I find Cpanel really easy to use…and as porcupine said its ‘its updated constantly’.

The best control panel is called "Chia Panel". It keeps growing, and growing, and growing...

I am really digging Cpanel 4.9. Love how everything is laid out.

HSphere rocks! It's not as popular as Cpanel, Plesk, and Ensim though. But I've used all 4 and like HSphere the best. Out of the other 3, the only one I dislike is Ensim.

CPanel

IMHO Forget add ons (As advertised above) and skins. they are quickly out dated and a hassle to keep up with :D

I hate when Cpanel makes an update that breaks things. It has happened alot.

Cpanel has limited FTP controls and a really weird online filemanager. But other than that it is quite nice.

Thankfully you no longer have to update automatically - problems are very few and far between these days with updates. :D

I like cpanel a lot as well. I don't have much experience with Plesk and none at all with H-Sphere. Ensim, I don't like at all.

Customers really seem to prefer Cpanel over the rest as well.
