Hello,

I tried to search about this, but no luck. I don't even get a reply from SWSOFT

So my question is: Is it possible to integrate Microsoft Exchange Server with Plesk 8.2 ?

Right now I'm using MailEnable, but I have a license for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, so I was wondering if I can integrate it with Plesk and use it as my mail server.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Thank you!

Andre

I managed a Plesk windows 2003 server for over 2 years (among other servers and panels)

short answer - no

long answer - yes, but with heavy customizing between the two and no guarantee that the connection wont break after 5 minutes, plesk gets along okay with the default mail program it comes with. Learning the hard way how (sorry to other admins hear or if I am breaking protocol) flaky Plesk can be. Dont Rock the Boat.

I will skip the MS Exchange issues (fingers would hurt from typing that much)

Sorry if I sound po'ed or biased, but its the only answer I have.

SW soft has developed an Exchange setup, its a plugin for PEM, but can actually function individually, without PEM installed.

Like everything from SW its prohibitively priced, you can read more at their website.

Hello,

Thanks for both answers!

I saw this PEM solution, but, it's like a billing system. And my friends over SWSOFT told me that Plesk can not be integrated with Exchange :(.

So I think I will need to skip this option. Maybe HELM could work?

Asheron,

SWsoft PEM is modular. It has a provisioning system and a billing system. You can use just the provisioning piece or just the billing piece. PEM can provision many services depending upon the module(s) that you purchase.

PEM has an Exchange module, but you need to deploy at least 6-7 servers to run a fully-redundant, business class Exchange 2007 implementation.

HELM can do it, but currently only via their external hosted exchange partner.
Another option, which I kinda like, is the DotNetPanel's exchange setup.
