I'm currently looking for freelance designer who can take around 4-5 projects a month. Does anyone have any expierences with any really really high-end designers they would like to share or recommend?

I suppose it depends on how extensive the projects are and what you're looking for when you say "high-end." There are a couple freelancers local to me who do very high-end stuff, design consulting for some big companies. One of them, Les Lehman, will charge $5-10k for a layout (the uncoded PSD), but he has delivered some incredible wow-factor to clients whose budgets can easily cover this and the many tens of thousands more for all the engineering that takes place after layout work is done.

My firsthand experience with him comes as a colleague where we've shared tasks in projects. I'll recommend him all day.
