For domains and websites purchased with content which are small and have little bandwidth needs what are the best options for routing traffic to a new parent site
.
Either the domain can be forwarded to another url on a larger site.

Or a free host like webjump.com can be used to host the domain and then link to pages on the larger new site which owns it.

Or a pay host can be used to then link to pages on a new site which now owns it.
Which option is the best?

Anyone have any ideas on what the best solutions are to each of this possibilities; ie the best free host to route traffic, the best cheapo host, and the best domain url forwarding company?

Hello
I would always choose to have "real" pages at the domain URL as that will really boost the search engine rankings.
Even if that means using a free host it will still be more effective than using frames redirection.

However, webjump use frames anyway so they would not be the best choice.

IF not webjump to host the site who do you suggest?
Also in webjumps term of service they appear to be claiming the worldwide nonexclusive license to reproduce your works in any medium. That also is not good.

I know search engine referrals would suffer from domain forwarding but its cheap and the domain and site I have purchased gets most of its traffic from yahoo and links. That would not be decreated with domain forwarding, and also through domain forwarding I am guaranteed that the entry page will count as part of the traffic of my larger site as the visitor is automatically forwarded.

With a free host I would be putting an entry page there with links which clickthrough to my other site. Would using a java redirect script on a domain hosted at a free site be a good idea to keep search engine referrals and get the traffic all counted as part of a "parent site"

Hi!

******** is definitely one of the best forwarding services and one of the first ones. If not, THE first.
