Hi,

so this time I am asking for reviews, opinions and in case webmasters of these hosts are online, statements - and I take suggestions as to who would also be fitting. I try to be as concrete about needs as possible:

Current budget: 10-15 USD/month

2+ GB
20+ GB bandwidth
unlimited domains, accounts, email, databases etc.
Cpanel (also for accounts) + WHM -- if possible
branding should be possible
own nameservers preferred
overselling enabled
good to excellent uptimes
truly good support
reliability
backups (daily preferred)
chat room possible (low usage)
GD, Imagemagick
PHP 4 (+5 if possible), MySQL pretty recent system please due multilingual DBs

Most sites I host are low in bandwidth, most are small-sized, there are a variety of blogs, smaller CMS, a couple of forums. I usually use solid opensource scripts which I regularly update.

There is one site offering handcrafted adult toys (actually this one is very artfully designed with some non-obscene nudity and it creates very low bandwidth) and one site with a closed gay discussion group (also low in bandwidth), which for my two former hosts were totally acceptable and these were no adult hosts at that. I'd like to keep both of them under my fold as before, both are nice people who never created trouble.

The majority of the other sites are related to dog and animal breeding with kennel/breeder blogs, a couple of breed portals, all of that not hugging bandwidths or ressources. Also a couple of breeding club sites, some of which need closed to the public chatrooms for occasional online meetings (maybe once a month), so also not truly taxing any system.

Because these sites are usually small in size I may place more accounts in one GB than would be usual for others. Therefore: unlimited accounts/domains.

There are two sites among the whole which belong to me and with which I want to work with more sophisticated scripts, e.g. multilingual news publishing and portal software. Bandwidth is low again, but for these I may need either myself have shell access or have tech support install them for me/adjust scripts occasionally.

I actually would love to have ASP/Tomcat possibility and saw that there are some reseller packages which might give that.

An absolute must have:

I need a payment method which I can use without exorbitant fees from Europe. If the host uses 2checkout as a merchant account and enables money versing for me, that is perfect. Else, I can send guaranteed to cash (because prepaid!) checks through my bank, in US funds and sent from a US banking partner of my own bank. I really do not do Paypal (very bad experiences) and it's difficult for me to pay by CC.

If I like the service I usually pay a year ahead and would expect some discount for that.

I saw that Everity offers a trial month, anyone else too?

I may need later upgrading without trouble.

Greetings

Unless they have changed their policy recently then Knownhost don't allow overselling on their reseller accounts.

Also ASP is best on a windows server.

You are correct. We would recommend a VPS for such needs. Thanks.
