So I am starting to write articles on an Abcd.Wordpress.com subdomain.

I need to register a few domains of the type

word1-word2.com
word1word2.com
word3word2.com

etc.

I might be registering anywhere between 3-8 such domain names to point to my BLOG.

The thing is I am not sure of the following:
- Which domain I will finally use for my company, so I might let some of them go after an year
- I might use some of them for separating some content
- also for domain forwarding for context
- I might create separte websites with them Professional v/s Personal etc.
- I will have to keep the "-" hyphen seperated names once I finalize on the company name I will MAINTAIN for good.

WHOIS Information Privacy would be a BONUS but not essential
Domain Locking would be nice too. But not essential (Hopefully no one steals my domains).

Also, I am guessing if the registrar is not the best for LONG TERM after the 1st year, I might do the following to some of the DOMAINS I choose to keep:
- Renew
- Transfer etc.

Hopefully they dont do lock down or CHARGE EXTRA for outgoing domain transfers.

Any suggestions on what REGISTRAR / OFFER I can use within the next few days to get Maximum Bang for the Buck for Multiple Domain Names?

Thoughts?

MOD - Sorry I did not see the Domain Forum. If you think thats a better place please feel free to COPY or MOVE thread.

Check out namecheap.com. I'm in process of transferring all my domains to them. So far, they have been great. They also offer WhoIs Privacy for free on all transferred/purchased domains for 1 year.
