At a bit of a crossroads here. I have a handful of new/existing products and I am unsure if I should divide them up into their own individual sites/names or keep them all under one big name.
Currently deciding between:
1. Single website offering each product in different sections
2. Single domain with multiple subdomains for each product (keeping the site on each subdomain similar, most likely just a color switch)
3. Separate websites/names for everything.
Currently it would be about 3-5 different offerings, but slowly it will be growing (if all goes according to my plans of course).
The advantage of separate sites is the separation that it provides in my opinion. Each site could be custom-tailored to fit the product (design, backend, etc..)
The advantage of one site for everything would be the unity in purchasing, but I can't see many people purchasing a large amount of different offerings at the same time. Even then sharing login/password information between the different sites wouldn't be an issue. The carts would be the only thing not shared.
Thoughts? Opinions?
