I'm looking for the ultimate design on HostCompare.com. I don't just mean graphically, but nagivationally. The site needs to be incredible, as in WOW.

If you represent a web hosting provider, and you have good web design skills I'm offering the following. Whichever company can redesign the best HostCompare.com web site will get unlimited free promotion on HostCompare.com. As long as I'm using your design you're logos will be up throughout the site, bringing you free traffic.

HostCompare.com is very well respected in the web hosting industry; it has been recommended by PC Magazine, CNET, BusinessWeek, InternetWeek, USAToday, TechTV, numerous web hosting books, and more.

You can either email me at info@hostcompare.com or just reply to this post. Either way works for me.

Will we be keeping the same logo that is on your site?

Whens the cutoff date?

Yes, I would like to know the cutoff date, and the amount of traffic you get daily/monthly. I will contact you via AOL Instant Messenger if that is alright with you. My screen name is Subsektion.

aww, no monies ? it takes a while to come up with a fresh new design, and then if its not chosen, you wasted your time

I agree -- for a complete design overhaul (not just a template), I don't know if a contest is the best format... I know I personally wouldn't want to spend the time making an incredible design if there's a chance that it wouldn't get used

Personally, I think you guys are crazy. If you look on his site he has a interview with the CEO of Interland. One of the largest web hosting companies in the world. Wouldn't a website have to be major in order to get that kind of information. He is offering advertising until he no longer uses the template. I'm sure he'll keep it for 3 months to a year. That is worth more then money to me. I bet that would cost over $1500.00 just to advertise on his website for a couple months. He atleast gets over 800 unique hits per day. The audience is also aimed at Web Hosting. This deal is completely worth it to me and I plan on entering whether I win or not, its worth the try, it only enhances my skills.

Those are all legit points, but that is also why we have places like ebay.com and premade template pages.

Then whats this forum for? Its just a matter of his choice. Maybe he thought web designers that design web hosting sites would have a better shot.

Besides, if your designes are actually the quality that he is looking for you shouldn't have a problem selling extra ones ;)
