Hello,

I have a Raq4 and i was wondering whats the best way of resizing a .jpg image.

I've read through this forum and others and have seen talk about imagemagick, but that seems a whole lot of work installing it just to resize a jpg.

Ideally i need something that i can call from within a perl script.

Imagemagick is really the only way to go. You can use the instructions here:

otherwise, if you want to reduce the size of the image, you can always constrain the image in the image attributes, though that does nothing for the size.
