View Full Version : Are there any services that can give a month to try?
Gunterhost 08-24-2007, 08:42 PM Hello I have a very good hosting plan but there is no more space to put extra clients on.
I am looking for some hosting company, reseller account or 4 domains.
This for a free month to try before to pay!
What do I need?
5 Gb Space
30 Gb BW
C
WHM panel
Please don't mis understand me as I am not looking for offers but just to see if there are companies that give a month for free.
I did have a very bad expierince with a hosting company that went down after 3 weeks!
So is it normal what I ask?
Thanks.
Jedito 08-24-2007, 08:57 PM I doubt that anybody is going to offer you a free trial reseller account, if somebody offer that, you don't want to be hosted there anyway.
okihost 08-24-2007, 09:03 PM Many hosts offer a 30 day or even 60 day money back guarantee. I believe this is going to be the closest to what you are looking for. Most hosts will now allow a free month without paying due to the fact that it would attract quite a bit of spammer users and other users looking to abuse the system in one way or another.
My suggestion would be look for a host who offers a money back guarantee and give them a shot, if you don't like what you are getting then ask for a refund and move on to the next company.
iHubNet 08-24-2007, 09:06 PM I agree with Jedito... I don't think there will be free trial.. which is different as money back guarantee..
Trexhost 08-25-2007, 12:10 AM Getting a host that offers a money back guarantee woudl be a wise choice. It gives you an opportunity to host with a company, and have nothing to lose. Good luck though!
Mike Hobgood 08-25-2007, 12:13 AM Many hosts offer 30 Day money back garauntee's. In that case, Pay, try it out, in the event you aren't happy simply seek a refund!
Gunterhost 08-25-2007, 06:04 AM Thank you to all.
Well that might be a wise thing for me to to.
Are there any guarantees for the money return? What I mean lots of hosters will write unlimited but after a few gigs extra your site is gone!
What I wanted to do is to take a trial for a month or so NOT as a reseller but to put lets say a site up with 50 Mb and using about 15 Gb of BW.
After a month I can see how the performance was.
I found my present hoster after a free month trial in 2001 and I am still with them. Pity they are at their limit.
Will try to find a potential good one.
Again thanks for all your help.
kjawaid 08-25-2007, 06:28 AM Yes most host guarantee for the money return and they actually pay it back too .. IMO you try the host at the highest level for 30 days if you are not satisfied you can ask them for the refund .. plus do read the AUP for money back guarantees ..
iHubNet 08-25-2007, 12:32 PM But this is.. Free Trial is not = xxdays money back guarantee...
for example, you need hosting for 10 days to host something and after that, you request money back.. I don't think money back guranteee will work.. since it's abusing the "term" Most of host will do money back if you are not satisfy with their service..
thanks

This is not always true. There are legitimate hosts offering free trials. What matters is that they closely monitor their free trial resellers, and are involved enough to ensure that their resellers are successful.

It may, but I personally wouldn't want to be hosted on a server where free trials accounts are hosted too, you may have 1 rotten apple in 100, but still that apple can affect my site.

Hmm.. not really, many host offer 30 days money back guarantee, not questions ask.
everity 08-25-2007, 01:48 PM Yes, hence the reason free trial accounts are hosted separately. It gives a chance for the host to determine the specific needs of the reseller, and once they have proven to be legitimate, the host can move them to the server that will be most appropriate for the reseller's needs. Its usually very easy to move an account to another server, so I don't see how that invalidates a free trial.
Customers who pay in advance can cause trouble as well. Personally, I'd prefer to go with a host that closely monitors and looks after their resellers rather than one who charges upfront and just assumes that because they paid they are legitimate.
