Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Valis International?

I am a UK resident wishing to open a US bank account and they seem like a great option. Any opinions?

Regards,

Locutus

search the forums, there are banks in US that will open your US based checking account for free, all you need is to fax/mail some tax forms, I can't remember exactly what, but there was a thread about it...

Yes, I do.

They're fine, the only problem its that their info@ its answered for a bunch of money who don't know how to read or write.
They sent me the ATM card 3 times to an incorrect address.
Finally, I told them to send it through Fedex to track it, but, guess what? they send it through regular mail one more time. So, I have to cancel another card, and finally I contacted to somebody who know read, and she sent it through UPS. All this process took + 2 months.

Hi,

but other than that, would you still recommend them? And do you know if I can withdraw my PayPal funds into it?

Also, is there a setup fee or is it just the monthly $5.95? Any other charges?

Yes, I still use it, their web interface its pretty good and friendly, no problems with the ATM card, also, they provide you with a MasterCard debit card, which its better than a simple ATM Card.

To be honest, I don't know if they charge monthly fee, there is a setup fee of $4.95 if I'm not wrong.

Do you know if I can withdraw my PayPal funds into it?

Also, will I still get the Mastercard, even though I stay in the UK and no the US?

How long did it take for them to setup your account?

Thanks :)

Hmm.. I don't know if you can withdraw your PayPal funds into it, I never used in that way, but I don't see why not.

Also, yes, you'll get the Mastercard even if you live in the UK, I live in Argentina and I received it.

The setup take usually 5 bussines days (I have 2 accounts).

Hello,

Sorry for bringing a dead topic to life, but which account should I go for? Business account?

Can anyone give me the direct link where they state their rates? Also, after I get a bank account from thebancorp.com, would I be able to get a simple authorize.net and I would be all set?

Please advise.

for OK personal accounts you may also check out netbank.com

ps. for business accounts I suggest Bankone - no monthly fees for their net checking account and it's great!

I have my bank account opened with hsbc usa for two months now. I used Easy Corp Ltd to get this account opened and it was done within one month. Maybe it can help... this is totally free banking with HSBC.

They also opened me a personal bank account in a private bank in New York. I got online banking, visa debit card and even a american express gold with them.
