if i am running plesk or ensim where do i point the domain? can u help me?

I'm not sure you gave enough information, or rather I don't understand your question. In general, you'd set up an A RECORD for domain.com and www.domain.com to point to an IP (same one you set the site up on the server). Not sure what you're after exactly...

Plesk and Ensim are both good and easy - but have diferent ways to work re configuring new name servers.

Do not change anything at your domain registrar, untill you your server is set up first. The info on setting up your server must come from support .

im new to detecated servers and all. so when i install and get plesk or ensim going does that run its own dns server that i can point the domain to?

yes, both ensim and plesk do that - but go slow and carefull.

You'll need two IP numbers on you new server -
ns.your.net IP#
ns2.your.net IP#

AND - as you are a new customer, test your hosts support - if they do not help you enough drop them :)

one thing is that the datacenter that i am going to have the server at is a mac only place, so i will have to install the control panel and stuff myself. can anyone help me to how i setup the dns part of the control panel?
