Ok.. Thats a waste of time IMO...

Why not make an emu that runs Xbox games for linux on any computer??

You can buid a better system for a lower cost...

But wouldn't it be more anti-MS to not have to require the Xbox to play the games :D

I would have to agree. That is the absolute biggest wast of time....

Why not?

A PC with similar performance running games is much more expensive.

Microsoft are backing the Xbox to get exposure. They want to use that :dgrin:

MS takes a loss on each box sold and they could be cheap little servers. It's not being made to play games but run linux. $199 for a 733, 8 gig hd and 32mb of ram is not bad in my eyes.

Plus there is alot of money going to the people who complete the project so besides the enjoyment they get from coding such a project, it's far from pointless :)

I think it would be cool to host my xbox site on an xbox :)

Yup, I believe that... That's why Netpliance, who sold those $99 web appliances called the I-Opener went out of business when people figured out how to use their own ISP with them -- Netpliance was relying on people using the Netpliance ISP in order to make their money back, kinda like how Microsoft is relying on the games being sold for the system.
