View Full Version : GrandCentral.com - Is anyone using this for their business?
IzmoHosting 08-19-2007, 02:43 PM I've been testing out the Grandcentral service since late last year, but I have only begun incorporating it with my other business tools in the last month. Has anyone thought about using it with their business? And especially since Google bought out the company, does anyone think this is going to be Googles answer to Vonage?
Galaxy-Hosts 08-19-2007, 03:30 PM Last time I checked it was against their TOS to use it for a business. If you do I would not advertise it.
IzmoHosting 08-19-2007, 03:44 PM I actually know of alot of people that are using Grandcentral for business. They even have a feature called Webcall where you can place a button on your website and have people such as customers, call you directly. I think they might need to update their TOS to make it alittle more clear though.
hekwu 08-19-2007, 06:12 PM yes, GC did update the tos... or at least they advertise for people to use it in their business (ebay, online, etc).
I thought about using it, but it is a beta program... I would use a beta program in my business, but not one like this... although, I am tempted.
Heck, with the online button calls, the caller cannot see your telephone number... cool...
I found GC the other day and love it so far.....
avythe 08-20-2007, 03:39 PM How did you guys sign up? Looks like you have to be invited...

Galaxy-Hosts 08-21-2007, 08:36 PM Grand Central is not for commercial use.
From their current TOS:
The GrandCentral Services are for personal, non-commercial usage. GrandCentral reserves the right to immediately disconnect or modify a Subscriber's Service if GrandCentral determines, in its sole discretion, that Subscriber's use of the Service is, or at any time was, inconsistent with normal personal, non-commercial usage patterns.

r00ter 09-03-2007, 07:04 PM GrandCentral really is a great utility for businesses, I used it a while back. Too bad they got rid of that RingShare feature where you could upload custom MP3's, I loved that because you could upload custom messages that announce your business etc.. like your ISP has.
bigjjj 09-08-2007, 12:54 AM I would really appreciate an invite if anyone has any available. Thank you.
