somebody sent me $226 through paypal for hosting

But they didn't send it all at once
they send 7 differnet payments of it

Amounts: $35.00, $10.00, $45.00, $45.00, $45.00, $45.00, $1.00

the person who sent it, used a cc.

the person whos cc it was, did a CHARGE BACK....
I guess the cc was used without permission

so that means 7 different charge backs.... :angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

anyway, getting to the point.
Paypal said they are disputing this charge with the cc company on my behalf

Paypal said they are going to take the $226 from my paypal account... and if they win the dispute, i get it back.... But who knows how long that will take

PAYPAL IS ALSO going to charge me $10 for each charge back

so not only are they taking $226 from me
they are also taking $70 from me
AND CAN YOU BELIEVE ONE OF THE CHARGE BACKS WAS $1.00

THEY DID A CHARGE BACK FOR $1.00
AND PAYPAL IS CHARGING ME $10 FOR IT

im so pissed off right now

my paypal account is going to end up in a negative balance

I did nothing wrong on my part. I provided the hosting, support, EVERYTHING.

Yes, i thought it was odd that they sent me 7 diff payments, why did they send the $1 ? i dont know.

I mean. the service costed $45/month. The customer DID USE the service for one month.

I would be happy, if i could atleast keep the $45, and just pay 225 - 45 = 180

i'm sorry guys please understand im just a bit pissed off right now and i need to vent..

The day I received the charge back emails from paypal saying that the user did a charge back

I immediately shut down her service. (From what I know, its a female)

I didnt delete her account, i just disabled it totally. I did all that the SAME day. Ok, now..

you know what really made me mad?

Get this. A week after I received the charge back emails from paypal.... the customer contacted me saying

"Why is my server down"

CAN YOU BELIEVE SHE HAD THE NERVE TO ****ING ASK ME WHY HER SERVER WAS DOWN

I was thinking to myself "Oh no she didn't just ask me that....."
I told her LISTEN.... Somebody did a charge back

"Oh, they did? good going mom"

What I think happend was she used her mothers credit card and when her mother found out she did a charge back..

Guess you missed by question above or you don't know...

but a good lesson can be learned from this... be suspicious if you are getting multiple payments for one service/product.

I'm guessing the 'daughter' or 'son' paid in small amounts to try to hide the costs from their parents when they went through their CC bill - so instead of seeing the big bulk of $226, the payments are smaller and would need more attention.

My same question. Were they spread out over time or all at once? My theroy would be that they were trying to slip on by mom spreading the payments out, 1 here, 1 there, 1 here, 1 there, mom would not notice, ut oh, she did. :eek:

nah they were on diferent days

most of it was sent all in june though
just diff days in june
