Hello,
For colocation, would it be more beneficial to go through a service operating through a national tier one provider (www.savvis.net). Would this mean less downtime? Also, does anyone have any prices on Savvis colocation?
Thanks,
Kevin

Not necessarily true (in fact, not really true).... See, if you go with national tier 1 provider, then your cost will be big... If you go with tier 2 provider, then it will be cheaper, and... you get the same connectivity anyhow...
There are a lot of tier 2 provider here, very good uptime (they even gurantee it) and very good support and reputatin...
cheers,

Two things:
1. Be careful with Savvis, they are having a lot of financial problem right now.
2. Savvis is not one of the Tier 1 providers. If you want a true Tier 1 provider, you want to host with Level 3, Qwest, UUNET, PSINet, Sprint, or one of the others.
