Im looking for a solution for keeping track of Clients and customers, their accounts details,billing info, contct info ect.ect. and be able to run reports based off of which are most sold packages and whatever else i might think of.

You can look at ModernBill (look at v4) which is a great piece of software

I am pretty sure clientexec, and whmcs both do this.

Depending on what you plan to use it for, ModernBill version 5 may fit the bill. Do you run a hosting company or are you just using this software for general billing purposes?

If you are running any billing software under SQL Server you can activate Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and do the reports yourself with an EXCEL alike interface.

Just search this forum for billing software and you will find plenty of information.

ClientExec is great for back-end client management. Very easy to use and straight forward. ModernBill will also do this, although it is way more complex and give you much more, I find it a bit harder to use.

If you are looking for a Web Hosting related solution, I would look into WHMCS. Although the title suggests it used for WHM, that is not neccessary. It is a great overall piece of software.

Modernbill or WHMCS

I am using clientexec and always print out new customers' orders, keeping in yellow folder. I planned to get modernbill once my hosting is growing but my customers and I do not need too much features in modernbill so we wanted a simple billing system for quick browse because we are impatient to navigate. Having modernbill doesn't make you one of the best hosting industry since it is one of popular billing system. It's all about what suitable billing system are for your business and target customers.
