Jedito 08-08-2007, 11:57 PM Space? Bandwidth? OS? budget? :)
hmalekib 08-09-2007, 12:19 AM cheapest is usually not the "best" :)
Mike Hobgood 08-09-2007, 12:27 AM I'd recommend www.trexhost.com or www.hostnine.com - Both are great companies.
everity 08-09-2007, 12:38 AM Instead of "cheapest" and "unlimited" you should be asking how much you actually need. No one needs "unlimited" resources. Do a little research on what you think you'll actually use, make sure your host a good upgrade path if you end up needing more, and then come back here and ask what a fair price would be for what you need. In the end, this will save you a lot of headaches and probably even save you money overall.
Going the cheap route can be much more expensive in lost customers and time spent trying to fix problems. Its well worth it to invest a few extra bucks to avoid "cheap."

Browse the "Reseller Offers" in WHT, there'll be a many decent ones to choose from.
:agree: Agreed

bfarrell 08-09-2007, 02:33 AM Definitely beware of cheapest and unbelievable space and bandwidth. Servers have a limit. Someone, somewhere will lose. Will it be you and your customers?
Not worth it. Select your host on reasonable expectations and build a viable client base that you can prosper with. Not constantly holding their hands and convincing them to stay with you because your server account is way oversold, on some spam list and experiencing constant downtime.
The offers forum section has many attractive packages to select from.

Like other have said. Figure out how much you actually NEED and find a provider that can support that. Also a good upgrade path should be key in case you need more...like others have said.
John_Walsh 08-09-2007, 03:44 AM Practicaly, as far as i am concern i believe nothing in hosting comes as unlimited.
ldcdc 08-09-2007, 06:00 AM webers, are you looking for hosting, or is this some type of market research post and you want to know which of the 3 points is most important for a reseller?
Instead of "cheapest" and "unlimited" you should be asking how much you actually need.I think that the OP's "unlimited" was in reference to the ability to add as many end user accounts as he sees fit, as long as he's within the space requirements.
Mxhub 08-09-2007, 06:17 AM Price is definitely one of the factors before you sign up with the host.
Good support & reliability still count alot in choosing the right host.
Of course, there is no 'best' host around but host that fit your needs. :)
iHubNet 08-10-2007, 01:59 AM Yeah, price is the factor, but it also comes with quality of service... not of them, but you get what you pay for.
james bennett 08-10-2007, 01:56 PM eNom could be a great option; it is a recognized company
joshua_snl 08-10-2007, 02:35 PM Hallo everyone,
It so happens that I was looking around for reseller hosting as well and I came across this one - shoutserv.com
Has anyone tried this before or does anyone have experience interacting with this company?
If you have, please post a review. I am looking for unbiased/objective opinion as much as possible. I spoke to some people on one of the Forums affiliated to them and they all say that they are really good but I am not too certain those are objective opinions...
Any comments will be very appreciated.
Thanks!
Joshua
jerett 08-10-2007, 02:52 PM I noticed a reseller account on their site offering unlimited space and bandwidth for 59$ a month. That in my opinion should be a warning for you.
But I will let providers like HostGator and H9 know that this plan is there junst in case they want so shut down their servers and move all their clients to a 59$ reseller plan with unlimited resources. How could you go wrong - right?
But seriously - you do need to be aware of such gimmicks to reel customers in.
Swelly 08-10-2007, 03:21 PM To the OP, cheapest is 99.9% of the time never better, nor what you really need. However, there are AFFORDABLE providers, that are not as expensive as others. As far as having cpanel for all web hosting accounts, that is basically what you are going to get everywhere, if you go with a cpanel hosting provider.
Also in regards to price, dealing with MySQL and cheap...well you will also be dealing with resource limits that you really need to pay attention to ;)
grigezgin 09-09-2007, 10:21 AM I am using shoutserv.com (But i want to quit) (because they bought numberonehost.co.uk)
I have a lot of problems with them.
First one the support is terrible minimum 4 days if they want to help. (Someone are very rude in support team)
Second problem is payment. i sent money for the mount but they didnt extent my accout. I took an ticket for support and they didnt want to understand the problem. They say it was the paypal's problem.
Now i am try to solve suspend problem. They suspend my accounts without any explanation. My sites are about my university and my job. I wrote them and i am waiting for answer.
Montypaks 09-09-2007, 05:53 PM Had a similar problem with a host back in the day. Thing is moving hosts is now so easy nowadays you shouldn't need to put up with shabby service.
Just make sure you always backup your accounts at least everyweek
