Having purchased a reseller account, I have now found out that the maximum number of consecutive connections is 25, and from the sounds of it that would be for my account, not each of my customers.

This sounds incredibly low to me. Does anyone have any info on this, and how it works (the host has no details).

How many customers could you seriously expect to host with a restriction like that?

Well normally its on domain basis .. not on the whole account basis .. but if you are talking about FTP connections then it might be on your reseller account.

Submit a ticket and clear this thing with your host

It's a max of 25 consecutive per database.

That's still quite low, I suppose this means if 26 people click a link that requires a database connection at the same time, then they will get an error.

Hmmm.

Is this a normal restriction? I just think it seems really low.

Well its all depend how much you are paying for reseller package .. if its a budget package then its normal .. but if you are paying top $$ then its bit low .. should be almost 50 ..

Remember this every host have some sort of restrictions .. you should ask them first or read AUP carefully

It's a max of 25 consecutive per database.

Are you sure? usually is set per user (not database user)

From the support email:

Hello

Yes this is a limit per database.

Other items on shared servers have their own limits too (email, max sending 200 emails per hour, etc.)

I have now found out that the maximum number of consecutive connections is 25, and from the sounds of it that would be for my account, not each of my customers. You're quite likely talking about concurrent mysql connections, and the limit would be per mysql user, not per reseller nor end user account.
