Ok, before I even bring this up yet again, I know this has been discussed several times (in general)... however I'm looking for something more specific and having not alot of luck.

Is there even a nice basic helpdesk software in existence with the following?

*Multiple admins/staff
*both web and email based ticketting (separated by departments/etc)
on the email piping support and having spam filtering abilities in the desk itself, be it via subject matching, sender matching, and/or email link confirmation (to ensure it's a human on the other end).
*Also it needs to be able to recognize/sort for multiple piped/forwarded emails.

The main reason I don't see anything of what is needed around is the following:

osticket/eticket doesn't work properly for the spam issue.
not looking to spend the money on cerberus either I need something that isn't where I'd be paying for bloated features I have no use for.

I don't want any kind of knowledgebase/faq builtin which can bloat this (it's needed for a sales/support desk, not an all-in-one solution).

Does anyone have any good solution on the above, besides hiring a coder to write one (as I am sure something exists that I just haven't been able to find).

Kayako is one of the best and most widely used support solutions. While it does have its price, I think its worth it.

As a client and admin, I have had many happy experiences using Kayako.

If you are using a WHM/CPanel server, some integrated stuff like WHMAP, or WHMCS is also very good.

WHMCS is probablly the best I've seen with full WHM/Cpanel integration.

Support Trio is one of the most straighforward packages for end users. It is also very effective from an admin point, and although you say you dont need a KB - it has one of the best in the market.

CerberusWeb.com (Cerby) is pretty popular as well.

Thank you all for the suggestions, however as I mentioned I was seeking specifics on helpdesk software with adequate spam filtering capabilities.

I already have a billing system, faq system, and knowledgebase (thus obviously why I don't look for bells/whistles of course).

Again thank you all for the great suggestions.

Just a note on that, WHMCS actually does have anti spam settings for its helpdesk. Also, its really the job of your mail server to fight spam, not your helpdesk.

As far as saying that you already have a billing solution, i personally hate companies that a different piece of software for everything. No one likes logging into multiple software when accessing information, so please take in mind your customers when accessing software solutions, not just what it does for you.

If your needing just a helpdesk and need a lot of flexibility, then kayako is the only choice IMHO. Every high quality helpdesk that i know of works with a kb, which it should, because you should be using that KB to help your clients. I personally wouldnt want one that didnt have an integrated KB.

WHMCS is a really good solution.

Signups, Billing, Helpdesk, and KB. I don't see why more hosts don't use it.

Like MACscr said, no one likes to log in multiple times for different things.

ie. Log into the billing, pay the invoice. Notice that you were charged the wrong amount. You would have to login to a different URL with possibly different credentials and put in a support ticket.

With an integrated solution like WHMCS, it gives the client a true comlete experience all in one place.
