All the stickys I see now have color. They're highlighted in yellow?

No, I'm saying they stick out like a sore thumb and are quite annoying.

And depending on if you colour blind or certain monitors, they appear has dark blocks instead of colour behind the text.

I like the announcement change... the sticky thread color is annoying. Though it will be like the adverts soon.... ignored.

Agreed Milsites.

Maybe make the yellow something darker. A light blue or something, yellow simply is too bright.

why don't you just increase the text size? or even, make it a forum specific announcement :D
