Hi,

I'm currently looking for a reseller account with the following features:

- 1Gb Space
- 20Gb Bandwidth
- Servers MUST be UK based for SEO
- 24/7 support
- Must be apache with mod_rewrite enabled (and htaccess allowed)
- SSH access would be nice, but not essential
- Auto bills every month instead of manual payment (not essential but cuts down on admin)

Monthly Budget is ~£20 though I will stretch up to £25 for a great host. I've got accounts with Kualo, Goscomb, Cyber Host Pro, A2B2, RS Hosting, Prime Hosting, UK Easily and Reseller Zoom. All these companies are all excellent, but my client has specifically requested that the new site(s) are hosted on different servers for SEO purposes.

Clook are no longer taking new clients and I don't know of any other RELIABLE hosts that have UK based servers. Anyone got any suggestions?

Have you tried a2b2s UK servers?

I've already got an account with them as listed in my first post ;) They're an excellent company.

Oh and one final requirement, I want a QUALITY host which rules out the "Unlimited Space/Bandwidth" companies. I'll be running an important website for one of my best clients, and I don't want to be logging tickets every 24 hours because the server is overloaded.

:) No problem, I'm going to edit my original post to list my current accounts so it's easier to read.

[EDIT]

No I'm not, looks like I can't :) Here is a list of the companies I'm currently with in no particular order:

- Kualo (These guys are excellent, I've got two accounts with them)
- Goscomb
- Cyber Host Pro
- A2B2
- RS Hosting
- Prime Hosting
- UK Easily
- Reseller Zoom

All the companies on this list are great btw, but Kualo have always done me proud when something has gone wrong.

Thanks for the suggestion, but you're right, they're well out of my budget. Plus I'm always a little uncomfortable with companies who offer unlimited bandwidth and web space.

I think Fast Hosts have a pretty good reputation, but unlimited space and bandwidth always makes me cringe.

United Hosting have worked well for me for clients in the past. Fast servers and fantastic reliability.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I must admit, I'm never keen on hosts who offer unlimited space / bandwidth, I know there are some decent hosts out there offering this. But it tends to be fine for a year or two and then the servers start to get seriously overcrowded.

I'm just about to cancel an account with UH. Their service has been nothing short of excellent, but I just can't get on with their control panel. If they offered DA or cPanel, I would get an account with them again in a second.

The search goes on ;)

Hi

with some of the hosts your with, you could try

a) getting static IP for the website
b) ask to be hosted on another server with them

i think option A is probably the best.

...Clook are no longer taking new clients and I don't know of any other RELIABLE hosts that have UK based servers....Clook only temporarily 'suspended' taking on new clients/orders for a month or so and should be opening up for new orders fairly soon AFAIK.
