Hi

I want to add a payment solution to my e-commerce... But the thing is ... im from Canada

I want to know if there is a type of merchant that dont freeze the payment at all..

For exemple, i know that paypal freeze your balance for a certain time..i think 4 days or something.. Is there any company that will give you the money right after the confirmation of a sale?

And also since Im from Canada, will i be able to use authorize.net, verisign or linkpoint?

If not what would be the best payment solution?

Thank you

most companies 'freeze' payment for new clients. After you have established a good relationship, ie prompt refunds, minimal fraud and chargebakcs they will reduce or cancel the hold period.

So how long do you think they usually hold your money?

You have to make sure these transaction are legal. If you can get too many chargebacks, your account may get suspended.

You will need to have a good Anti Fraud system in place, finally you can redut the risk of chargebacks to almost zero if you use 3DSecure )Verified by Visa & Mastercard Securecode)

So find a payment gateway that have above in place, check each order you received for instant by give them a phone call to verify each order and you are good to go.

Beanstream might be able to help you and Collectivepos might be another company to check out. Paymentech is also a pretty large provider in the United States and Canada.
