Which do you see more of a demand for Reseller Packages or Shared Hosting Packages? Which do you think is more/less profitable, more/less support required, etc.?

1. Resellers are definetely more profitable because its usually more revenue and usually sell for more than shared packages.
2. Shared servers require less support, because there are on your server, and you have more ways of limiting them and helping them. With resellers, you would have to deal with other unknown accounts on the server, but basically its equal support imo.

Shared is in more demand, simply because more people have websites than have hosting businesses. As far as profit and support, I agree with amaZe

Yeah, it would seem the best thing to do, if your offering resellers then offering shared aswell wouldn't be a problem. Also if you have limited resources I would sujest resellers would be better for you, as reseller prices are actually still quite decent compared to shared hositng.

I would offer both, when the person hosting a site with you wants to add another site or two the reseller package is a great upgrade to promote to get it done and is usually cheaper than paying for multiple shared plans.

Reseller accounts also offer some simplicity of using that you do not get with a VPS or dedicated box.
