Sorry it sounds nosey but for something as expensive per month as a server I'd want as large a paper trail as possible should everything go pear shaped. Also as JYT said, it's just easier - unless you're at that end of the month where it's looking pretty maxed out already. I know how you feel though - I'm the worst 'waiter' in the world.
