GlideTech 07-24-2002, 02:17 AM How long will your company be in business? More importantly, how can your company stay in business offering a one time fee to customers. Eventually you run out of resources, and money.
Forgive me for questioning your business plan, but offers like this have always turned out to be bad for the customer.
UniSolve 07-24-2002, 02:40 AM After reading your deal, I have to agree with Glide, yes a one time setup fee seems like a great deal but when you burn that $99 on your servers then what? How can u continue to pay for everything (connection, staff, etc)? I am not sure maybe you this will is a new technique that we all will learn from. I have seen some radical things turn out to revolutionize the way business is handled. I will sit back and see.
internations 07-24-2002, 02:58 AM See, before an offer such as this is decided upon, much number-crunching must be done on the part of the host. All worst-possible-scenarios muct be factored in, and after all is said and done, a package is crafted that makes financial sense.
1GB of data is a very conservative amount. Yet there are alot of sites out there that use this amount or alot less each month. This offer is aimed squarely at them. How much is 1GB of bandwidth each month? Well think of it this way, I have 22,000 free website users that are granted this amount each month aswell.
You can be forgiven for questioning, and doubting the wisdom of this strategy. And you should question it. If it is done in huge volume and at the wrong price, a company can drown in red ink. However we are here for the long haul, and guarantee you we have not been around for 4 years already by making ill-planned business decisions.
Take Care ;)
internations 07-24-2002, 03:00 AM The other important thing..
Use an offer like this on a limited basis (we are only selling 50).
Take Care
mrzippy 07-24-2002, 03:43 AM Buyer beware. Nothing is free.
zRedDice 07-24-2002, 09:08 AM Buyer beware:
Nothing is unlimited either... they are offering unlimited tenure of the plan for a fixed price.

SophiaL 07-24-2002, 11:26 AM That's true, after that 99 bucks, then your account starts having problems. 'Cause obviously, no profit means no biz.
VoxKeysGtr 07-24-2002, 11:51 AM I wonder if anybody will take up up the offer despite the CW and earhost threads that have been circualting onWHT lately.
BTW, I am not slamming Internation, I do not know them, or have heard anything about them, it's just that their offer sparks some comparisions to these other companies that have recently had problems serving their customers.

How? Using ads? PPC?
internations 07-24-2002, 08:04 PM Good to see I sparked some debate.. :stickout
EzHost 07-25-2002, 07:27 PM Actually I would have to agree that what internations is offering is VERY feasible. For anyone out there who is leasing servers right now (and I don't know if they lease or own theres).....you know the cost involved. If they sell 50 accounts he has some 80%+ of his resources left....so in essence he only needs to sell a few monthly plans on this server to pay his monthly server lease. In addition he has raised just under 5,000.00 in operating capital...Not really a bad business plan at all...although I would never do it myself.
Just my 2 cents
