We need to hurry up and send a team of foul-mouthed perverted semi-illiterate oil miners into space!

"The error in our knowledge of where NT7 will be on 1 February, 2019, is large, several tens of millions of kilometres," he said.

I think I'll worry a little bit more once they crunch their numbers a bit. A month ago one missed earth by around 2/3 of the distance from us to the moon, and no-one saw it till it was past us and going back out again.

An imprecise science at best :)

I guess it will take a few more years to find out if your competitor's data center is in the collision zone.

Would make for an interesting spam wouldn't it.

"So I hear your current webhost is about to be wiped off the earth due to a meteor strike. Well we have affordable plans... "

my pleasure. And to keep the theme going:

roughneckhosting.com is available (tips hat to Armageddon). I wonder if Bruce Willis is available for the photo ads - hmm, maybe Liz Tyler <-- even better :)

Reserve your tickets to Mars before it's not too late!

As I always say... "Ignorance is Bliss" :)

Seriously though, if we worried about every thing that could potentially be on a collision path with the earth then we wouldn't have enough time left over to enjoy life.

It would be an interesting site to see I think. :)

I'm not too fussed, imagine the chaos if it was definite!

*sits outside with his laptop and watches the asteroid fly overheard* :)

If it was going to get us, there would probably be nothing we could do to stop it... we probably wouldn't feel a thing anyway :)

I ran into the wall... :bawling:

Seriously. What happened to that one they thought was going to hit the earth in 2005 or whatever. I guess they changed their mind about it.

Anyway I am not in the least worried about this one. Besides we are all more likely to be blown up or something by 2019 so what can a meteor do to us... ;)

The thing is a LOT bigger than 2km wide in that pic, so it is not to scale...

Can you imagine just steering at the damn thing about to fall on top of you. Just waiting to die.
