I was wondering how many webhosting companies out there utilize PR and marketing communications as a way of attracting and building customer relationships.

Such ways:
Press Releases
Media Blasts
Media Publicity
EPK's (Electronic Press Kits)
etc, etc.

Yea, if you do it right PR can really be the best way to advertise (other than word of mouth of course).

PR would get you sales that no one would think about. Who knew a tv station would come to an office and film about servers, etc. It really builds a brand image!

any business requires routine PR on various levels.. if it's only handing out your biz card.. as simple as that.. but PR is the key that keeps the wheel turning....
