ok so here's the deal.

been trying to get apache 2 work with one of my own SSL generated certs for the past few days with no luck. to be honest i no longer have the time or the will power to continue my investigations so i am here posting this.

on my last attempt apache was seg faulting when restarting it with a ssl virtual host site in the conf..

what i need someone to do is:

-get apache2 working with a user generated cert
-fully testing it and making sure it works
-telling me what i did wrong so i know for future use

would prefer someone with a bit of reputation or posts on here as i'm not going to give my root over to any joe blogs.

looking at between $30-60 as i'm sure its a very quick fix
