I used to remember where Godaddy was very fast with name server changes but just over 8 hours ago I requested a Nameserver change for a domain at Mydomain.com and a few minutes later I requested one for a domain at Godaddy for the same Name Servers. Several hours later the MyDomain change happened but another several hours later I'm still waiting for the Godaddy one. It does say the new nameservers when I use Whois but the domain still shows the old server with the old site, I'm surprised that Godaddy is this slow as it used to be faster.

Where are you checking to see if the nameservers have been applied?

You should be doing a live check against the TLD root servers - like at dnsstuff.com

If you are checking in your browser, then you CANNOT draw any real conclusions.

Most registrars, I assume godaddy too, submit dns changes in real time. The only difference you see is whether YOUR resolver has it cached or not.

I agree with both. Mydfomain.com updates every few time, normally 2 hours at max, abnd godaddy around 8 hours. The com TLD have more delays.

I check in whois of the registry, NO registrar , and too in dns report.

Well as I said it does show the new name servers in the whois but in my browser it still shows the old site even after refreshing etc but the mydomian one worked well before this post and now it is about 18 hours and still the GOdaddy one is not working. I'm in Australia so maybe it is my ISP chaching Godaddy domains?

Besides the ISP ideas, I have the idea some Big root Servers not refresh always, because sometimes i get in new formated pcs a resolution to an old nameserver, and dns report point the tldroot server ispointing to that place.

update: the domain updated in about 24 hours after I requested the change although it never used to be this slow with Godaddy in past. I have noticed Mydomain are updated very quickly now where they used to be a little slow. Yesterday I purchased quite a few domains with them and the new name servers were working within less than 30 minutes.

I don't know much about Australia's connectivity, but after moving to Sydney, I have noticed similar thing with Go Daddy. If I do a whois from a server in the US, it shows the right nameserver changes, but the changes are not reflected here in Australia for a few hours. I contacted Go Daddy's support, but they told me to wait it out, so... :D
