I am looking for a domain name registration site that offer payment by a solo card and has .com domains for less than £10 (british pounds) a year

I have never heard of solo card. I am guessing that it is not just another branded MasterCard or Visa.

And a solo card is a debit card mainly for under 18's and those who can't/don't want to be credit checked, because it checks your bank balance before every transaction, while visa debit, switch etc all do the checking at the end of the day, the only problem with it is that it isn't as widely accepted as other cards

ukreg are often complete ****e and slow with updates. They are also the same company as fasthosts :angry:

I had heard of the Solo card but never knew exactly what it was. Thanks for the explanation!

I have approx 35 domain names with 123-reg with no problems at all. Great service, great price, and best of all they happily accept Solo.

does this mean all domains registered with them you can change the nameservers / dns i (the thing to point ot your hosting company) ??? or just a certain type of domain

Lucky you, I work for one of Solo's main issueing banks - Solo is a cut down version of a Switch (a UK debit card) designed for teenagers on 16+ accounts.
Its generally accepted in most the places Switch is.

Yep, nearly everywhere you see a Switch symbol you can use Solo as well, or at least I did when I had a Solo card some years back.
