Got to meet the old phart SWR, and the always verbose wordsmith, writespeak. And the Odd one, Oddfact (InSaNe!)

the_pm (DAMN good to finally put a face with the name! Next time we'll have to go out for beers when I'm not so worn out from everything!)

Karl from Steadfast

Mahinder, Jordie (GNAX), Ryan DiRocco (Slacker!). Saw Jeff (GNAX) again. You need to call my wife, quit putting it off, bub! :D

Two of the big guns from WHBuzz (Matt, you need to slurp more tea down, haha)

Chris West (CDG Commerce) and his gang (it's about time!)

Jakiao (NUT JOB!) and Simpli-Erica (You ROCK!)

I know I'm forgetting people, and I'm sorry, not intentional. :D

It was a GREAT experience putting names with faces, finally!

SWR, next time, just disappear for a couple hours and take your blasted nap! ::laughs::

I met so, so, so many people!

I'm receiving a ton of emails each day from people who are saying it was so nice to meet me at HostingCon. Each time I receive one I have to sit here for 15 minutes trying to remember who they are! Sorry folks. I just have a bad memory.

The ones that stand out...

John (cirtex). John and I got wasted on the Sunday night. Awesome! :D

All the WHT staff. Douglas. Dennis. Lois. Steve. Ankit. Mike Walczak. Maybe some more too.

Met Erica briefly when she came to the booth on the last day. Dammit Erica. You need to throw that cell in the trash! That, or figure out how to use call blocking! :)

Met all TheWHIR staff. I would imagine some of them are WHT members.

Met the Rochen and WebHostingBuzz guys. Tried to stay with them on Sunday because they bought all the drinks. :D

I'm sure there were a lot more who I met who are WHT members. Sorry if I forgot you. I'm just not too good with names. Unless you buy me drinks, organise a pizza meal (thanks Ankit!) or get wasted with me (thanks John!), it's very unlikely I'll remember your name. :D

Then you got screwed over at the end. That iPhone should have been yours. :-)

Lol, I distinctly remember eating lunch with a group of guys talking about 'balls in their manbag'. Some conversation :D

lol - I wasn't sucked into the collect tickets, to collect balls to get an iPhone - I basically spent far too long last year with those darned tophosts bucks to find out that I didn't have a hope against - of all things - two exhibitors who were going head to head on the top prize... so I collected a few tickets/balls and gave them to guys who were in the running... I swear it was more fun NOT competing this year. I do feel for you WireSix - I was you one year previous almost...

Whew! I don't even want to try to name everyone from WHT I met, for fear I'll leave out half of them. Why? Because I'm getting to be an old man (in Web hosting years), and a goodly sum of those people were met in a semi-conscious state. :)

I know for a fact that there were a whole lot of members there who I met but didn't associate with a user name. Next year, I hope I'll be able to make even more connections between online members and real-life faces!

Oh yeah. Go ahead - ask Jamie what he brought home from the states. Yep, three bottles of hot sauce and a new bowling ball :D Hey Jamie, how did you brother like those hot sauces?

Why avoid the WHT booth, it's not like they were giving out points ;)

The Scotch Bonnet was very similar to his usual sauces. He can throw that over his food and love every minute of it. :) The Z. Well, here is what he said...

"I see what you mean!" (In reference to me telling him it is way hotter than his usual sauces)
"I think that one will be in the kitchen for the next 10 years"

:stickout:

Now, ask me what I *didn't* bring back from the states... laptop power cable was left in the Sheraton, and my digital camera was left somewhere else on that side of the pond.
