How much money do you earn approximately in a month with a reseller plan?

That depends on who you target ;)

If you target small business, provide webdesign or specialized services, you can earn substantially more than 400$ per month.

If you rely only on hosting, with no niche or specialization, you'll find the going much harder, and could earn from nothing to any amount :)

It all really depends on what you are offering and what you are attempting to do. There are just too many factors to consider.

How many accounts can you handle?
Do you plan on offering additional services?
Are you going to have ads?
etc.

This is only to know aproximately, how much cash its regularly earned in a reseller.

Since their are billions of resellers, your only chance is if you provide web design and look for local customers.

Its all to do with your advertising, its got nothing to do with if your a reseller or a server owner, customers dont really know if your a reseller or not, its all to do with the service you provide and how well you advertise it.

One basic reason .. can't manage it .. all the security, updates .. for the price of decent dedicated server you can buy several reseller accounts .. i.e if you go with RZ failover which is the most expensive one ... you will get almost 50GB space for $120 can add more then 900 account with almost 1 tera bandwidth ..

Why dont they just change to a dedicated server Probably for the same reasons why a host doesn't go for its own small datacenter as soon as that is a financially viable option. Back when I was contemplating the idea of being a reseller, I was planning to just buy additional reseller hosting packages for a while, instead of going the reseller package->VPS->dedicated route that seemed popular in those days.

Then again, I've never liked to choose the completely paved road, the more common ways of doing things. I'm weird like that sometimes, and think that if you do what most other people are doing, you're likely to end up like most other people. Not that that is a bad thing, but if you want exceptional results, you must do some things differently. :)

for me atm i make maybe 100$ a month, if i am lucky but i am a new host so.. it will take a while. but everyone is different

Even $100 the first month is good. For some hosts, it takes a long while, great research, patience, and business smarts to make a successful provider.

Sorta like Dan was saying, you have to crawl before you walk. Don't worry about the first month, or even the first six months. Concentrate on the first year, first 5 years, and first 10 years of the business.
