i got a Win XP dedicated server.
how can i transfer files from that to my local host?
what program i must install(prefer free programs)
i want download with ftp and http protocol.

You will need to setup an FTP server on your dedicated server and select the ftp directory as the one that holds your files.

Try FileZilla Server - http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/

Filezilla is Easy to use, its Supports transfer resuming and files larger than 4 GiB
Smart ftp or Cute FTp is also good Choices

FileZilla is the best bet for you, though you can also use RDP that is inbuilt.
