i was trying to edit my signature, then i noticed there is no longer somewhere to edit it...

also, im not seeing anyone elses signature... or mine...

Is this an experiment or some sort of error? I'm very surprised there was no announcement or any sort of correspondence sent to members that the signature feature was going away.

Ah well, maybe this will weed out all the sig flashers out there and will increase the quality of posts. Or will it?

Normally they let people know when they are going to do something like this. We will have to see what happens I suppose.

Same here, I like it! Sooo many people post just to add in their signature. As much as I loved the extra hits, it's hardly a revenue stream for me :) <satire>It's ok, I can say everyone else at TekTonic can't see it either</satire>

Take your time. The more I go through all the posts, I kind of like the fact that some providers actually have to shell out some cash now like the rest of us to advertise on WHT instead of relying on their signatures and one-liner posts to lure in customers.

No cash needed, that's why there are the offers forums :)

Has there been a mod added whereby only 1 sig per poster will be displayed in a thread, where that poster makes multiple posts?

Yep, looks like it. I just checked a bunch of other threads, and only 1 sig displayed per thread per user. Seems a bit harsh. Could have opened this up for discussion before implementing such a restriction too. :S

I only see 1 sig per thread, per poster, and it's not just my posts. It's everyone's posts. It's not a bad concept actually, now that I think about it some more.

Yep weird! I just looked and my custom title is back to the default so will see if I am able to change it back. Fixed it. :D

I saw two of your signatures at first Bob. I revisit this thread a bit later after new posts have been made, and now your second signature is gone! :eek2:

After a little investigation, it appears signatures are one per page, as opposed to one per thread. That's what I'm casually observing anyway.

I didn't see that one coming, but I'm not bent out of shape over it. Maybe with enough tinkering, we can remove the signature spam rule? That one is always a bit tough to moderate (quite a bit of subjectivity to it). I'm in favor of the rule because it helps keep posters honest, but I'm even more in favor of technology that makes rule enforcement obsolete :)

Edit: When I first posted it, I saw my signature (thanks to AJAX). When I refreshed the page, signature gone! When I view this post in the edit dialog, the signature button is checked. It looks like we have a new filter folks :)
