I've just signed up for my first VPS(Linux). My Host has provided me with 3 IPs and I am completely clueless on how to configure the DNS settings in Plesk.
Here's where I stand:
My hostname is: server1.mydomain.com
My IPs are: xxx.xxx.xxx.1
xxx.xxx.xxx.2
xxx.xxx.xxx.3
I have changed the nameservers at my registrar (GoDaddy) to:
ns1.mydomain.com - xxx.xxx.xxx.2
ns2.mydomain.com - xxx.xxx.xxx.3
I have not created any clients or domains on my VPS yet (not even mydomain.com).
Here are the current default settings in Plesk (this is an exact copy):
Host Record type Value
<domain>. NS ns.<domain>.
<domain>. A <ip>
<domain>. MX (10) mail.<domain>.
<ip> / 24 PTR <domain>.
ftp.<domain (ftp://ftp.<domain)>. CNAME <domain>.
mail.<domain>. A <ip>
ns.<domain>. A <ip>
webmail.<domain>. A <ip>
What do I do now?????
Thanks in advance.
