It is actually available for you, but you can't get your money in cash. You can use them in online transactions, though. I'm getting paypal clients and using the funds to pay for the server.

No, you will not get the total privilages if you are account is not verified. you need to add a credit card to do that. other wise there is lot of limits and total withdrawel limit is 3000$. i faced this same problem before. i am not from pakistan but a different country which payapl doesn't support directly. so i have taken a account with my friends name who is using in a different country and i verified that account also. there are no other ways to get the account if your country is not supported by paypal.

My country is not also supported, but I'm verified. Verification needs a valid credit card only, and acceptable worldwide if it is a Visa or MasterCard. I just can't add a bank account to get the money.

Was the situation different when you signed up, brox?

IMO, if that is the case, these are customers you do not want. Paypal is great for a lot of things, ebay, and other stuff. When it comes to running a legit business and accepting CC's, etc., I just do not see Paypal as a legit form of payment for web services. We don't do it, because it costs more, is more of a PITA, and does not meld well with our payment gateway, systems and merchant account, etc.

I don't really know of many of the larger web hosts out there accepting Paypal either. I had to pass up on one today because of paypal... Truth is, it would cost me more screwing around with PP than the benefit of gaining one low paying customer.

I've made exceptions are larger paying accounts, but for the most part, I just do not do it. I have very little control over disputes and other issues like fraud when it comes to paypal. With my merchant account, at least I have someone I can talk to when there is a problem. With paypal, I'm screwed.

Don't fret. I really think that you are asking for more of a headache using paypal than not. And I really think the customers you are losing are likely not worth getting in the first place. That's not always the case, but by and large for the most part it has been in our experience.

The Same. as i mentioned in my first post. my country is not supported by paypal. i tried to add my 3,4 credit cards to my account. but none of them activated for me. paypal said the banks are not verified in their list even the Cards are provided by Visa, Master Card and American Express. so i was helpless and i decided to the second option as i mentioned above. then suppose if you are verified with your credit cards, you will not get your money as bank transfer. you need to wait for the check and it will take some time. Some of the paypal policies are not good and some users are always makes disputes with paypal. so i am withdrawing all the money from paypal all the times. i will not keep a single $ in my account. i can do this because, i added my friend's bank account. if the paypal is in my name, i can't do it and i will loose lot of money.

brox I hope that is a good friend. If paypal finds out they could freeze his account. Also if any customers dispute charges his back account could be effected. In essence what you are doing violates paypal terms.

Harzem have you looked at other merchant account options?

...couldn't have said it better myself. This is the Internet, and like the rest of the world, you buy things with a debit/credit card.

Yeah, it's great for eBay and sending small amounts of money around, but if you're trying to run a business, get a merchant account and payment gateway. You'll save yourself all kinds of headaches by not dealing with PayPal.

Just about every major (and reputable) website I can think of that does online transactions does not accept PayPal. To me it's actually quite unprofessional. The hosting industry seems to be the exception to this, probably because a percentage of customers are actually under the age of 18.
