The Prohacker 07-23-2002, 01:33 AM Ahahahahha..... oh god I gotta stop laughing....
Offer cpanel too?
zdwebhosting 07-23-2002, 01:41 AM is'nt that a bit pricey for yipes? although i have never priced yipes just sounds a bit high.
and how much connectivity you have? 100mbit yipes or just a few what? and how many mbit/s backup?
TimPD 07-23-2002, 01:44 AM That is a very good deal for Yipes at least IMO as well as others. We have a gigE to Yipes.
coight 07-23-2002, 01:44 AM I highly recommend tim, although he has had a few problems (over the last few weeks), we got a server with him 3 weeks back. It's great :)
SoftWareRevue 07-23-2002, 01:47 AM You got a server at his data center?

TimPD 07-23-2002, 01:53 AM Our Websites are currently in two different data centers for many reasons. We haven't yet moved our main sites over to a server in Dallas yet. We colocate at Colo4Dallas.

zdwebhosting 07-23-2002, 01:55 AM ah ok so you just rent the racks and resell the space/bandwidth
i thought you had built a datacenter in such a short time lol but ok cool, best of luck
TimPD 07-23-2002, 01:56 AM Nope, No Data Center yet. Be Nice To have one :). It is a dream we have and it is our goal to build. Thank You.
SoftWareRevue 07-23-2002, 01:56 AM Right. When someone says OUR DATA CENTER; you kinda get the impression that they should own it. Strange.
TimPD 07-23-2002, 01:58 AM It is our data center because we use it and have cabinets there.... LOL.

http://www.zdwebhosting.com/network.shtml
webhost is only as good as the network supporting it. That is why we have built our connections peering to some of the largest companies supporting the Internet's backbone. With 3,355 Mbps of overall bandwidth, connections to different companies for redundancy, and operating at only 48% capacity, we have plenty of bandwidth to host your site and grow to your needs.
Point proved.
TimPD 07-23-2002, 02:15 AM LOL. Sounds Like You Got Him Back :).

I don't say, "Come here. Let me do your doctorin' fur ya. Our docter's are first class." "Come on down. Our lawyers kin handle anything you can throw at em."
Because; that would be lieing.
When you sell something as important as server colocation, it becomes extremely important to be completely as up front and honest as possible.
Maybe just my opinion. And maybe better addressed in a different thread. But, since the two of you wish to address it here. Well, maybe we can do that.

DanielP 07-23-2002, 11:07 AM Um yah, and people usually tend to pay back those 2500 dollar mistakes when they learn from them, and as far as I know he hasn't. So if you like doing business with a theif then go right ahead, just don't come crying here when something else bad happens.
MikeA 07-23-2002, 11:14 AM Guys and Gals. PLEASE STOP FLAMMING IN THE ADVERTISING SECTION. If you have something to say, take it to the appropriate section, not here.
REGARDLESS of how bad or how silly someone posts, it is his right to post it here.
How would you feel if you got attacked. I mean, you could be the next person to advertise here and slip and say unlimited, or OUR NOC, which BTW is just about the stupidest argument I have EVER seen. EVERYONE uses that, we do, everyone does. My gosh people, grow up. You don't see people saying "and we are a certified Jumpline reseller" OR "Our servers are proudly hosted with a company who can give you a better deal". I can't tell you how many people have asked me, "well if I do a tracert I see your name on the IP's" this is the same as "I want you to be totally hidden so that I can lie to my clients and make them think that I own the servers and the NOC and everything else"
Sorry ranting now. I just get sick of the flames in this particular forum. Grow up. Take it outside to the DEDICATE SERVER forum.
mushrew 07-23-2002, 12:00 PM In response to MikeA, while I agree that little slip-ups occur such as OUR NOC and stuff like that, I believe people have a right to pose questions in the advertising section when bigger issues are at fault, such as actual internet connectivity. People come to the advertising section to find products to purchase, and if there are any potential problems with those products, they have the right to know about them. I highly doubt most people are gonna look through every single forum on this board to do research on all the potential issues that may arise, thus posting them where they are clearly visible is wise.
As for TimPD, I'd recommend working on your spelling and grammar. Slipups such as teh (which HeadSurfer does quite often =P) are very understandable but "Sells are going great" instead of "sales", randomly capitalizing words in sentances such as "Thank You For those that are Supporting us and placing your order" and the misuse of 's really bug me and look highly unprofessional IMHO. Age nor typing fast should be an excuse, there are neat little items called spell checkers and any high school student should be able to compose grammatically correct essays with ease.

DanielP 07-23-2002, 12:57 PM Ok so by having him ignore us your basically giving him the green light to cheat, steal and swindle companies like powersurge and all of his cpanel customers?
Alrighty then, we know where your morals lie
TimPD 07-23-2002, 01:25 PM Hello,
This thread is about Colocation. Daniel, Go Else where and bash other companies.
DanielP 07-23-2002, 01:37 PM Yes this is about co-location, and your character comes into play. So since you are offering a service and your character comes directly into play on how you offer services and how you pay your bills could easily effect how you run your co-location. So your past history on this matter is very relevant to the current discussion.
This is a service where people are going to be sending you machines worth thousands of dollars to have the chance that YOU don't pay your bills and their machines get seized. All your doing is reselling space and at a high price at that. People would be better off to go direct.
So I mean if people want to take that risk with a kid who can't pay his own bills, then let them. I'm just going to make sure that they know about it.
TimPD 07-23-2002, 01:44 PM I'm afraid our machines won't get seized. We're on a contract and we do pay our bills.

That was easy :)
To the vast majority:
This is nuts... don't you guys have something better to do. Like take care of your customers. Atleast we know, that when one of your customers comes complaining about customer service, they'll quickly find out, that you'd rather spend your time trashing on people.
Ok. Well, I'm going to step off my soap box now.

I take care of the customers I have... As I'm sure the other people who post here do...
The majority of us are tired of seeing the 12 page Timmah threads because he screws someone over... He hasn't done anything on this board to get him banned yet, but I'm sure the mods are getting just as sick and tired of them.....
BTW: You wanna signa contract with him when you ship your servers, he might not ship them back because you weren't under contract...

jayjay 07-23-2002, 04:13 PM TimPD: We didn't have a contract, but you said you were going to refund me. Where's the refund?
I have multiple AIM logs that say "Yes it will be done. I'm VERY VERY sorry and I will do this myself."
etc etc etc etc
TimPD 07-23-2002, 04:52 PM Jason, your refund was send though. You should have it.
Rotifer 07-23-2002, 04:54 PM There was a time when I felt sorry for Tim (young kid over his head, etc.) but I now recognize a troubling trend. What logic would dictate one open a new, more complicated, service on the heals of a well documented disaster?
jayjay 07-23-2002, 04:55 PM I don't .. unless you did it right now.
TimPD 07-23-2002, 05:16 PM Hello,
We have had Coloaction4U quite sometime as well as offered Colocation on the side. We decided to open up a business just for it and dedicated servers. Jason, I will check.

...The majority of us are tired of seeing the 12 page Timmah threads...
So to try to help this you are adding more to this thread. Listen people...I think people that are planning on getting serious and colocating will have the common sense to find out more about the company at hand. So how about leaving the decisions to the buyers....

Hahahaha.... You don't deal with customers in real life much huh??
Some customers will do research on things before they buy, but alot just take a dive into things.. Unless they are warned....
Some people might not know how to use the search feature...
And here you are, bumping this old thread to post that when you could have PM'd me the issue....
The Laughing Cow 07-24-2002, 02:42 PM Stop just trashing his thread. Grow up, you know who you are. You wouldn't like it if people posted in your thread slating every offer you make. Perhaps your business' perfect? I am sure I could dig some dirt on some of you and trash your offers. It's not primary school now grow the hell up!

Sorry, just couldn't help it everytime TimPD's threads turn out like this :D
Aussie Bob 07-25-2002, 12:27 AM lol. I got a kick out of everyone attacking TimPD for saying things like "our datacenter" etc. 99% of hosts use terminology like that.
Even Mattf does in his new hosting venture (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=62399).
From Mattf's site (http://www.spenix.com/webhosting.htm) -
Our website hosting services are geared for top-performance. [b]We've invested in one of the fastest and most fault tolerant networks on the planet, composed of a full mesh of OC3 (155 Megabit) and OC12 (622 Megabit) links, in short meaning lightning fast loading times for your website. At Spenix we use only premium transit providers including WorldCom, MFN, Level3, Internap and Genuity.
TimPD has issues, we all know that, and I personally wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him, but bashing him about for doing what you all do is below the belt gentlemen.
QWEST 07-25-2002, 01:07 AM agreed.:)
EzSnake 07-25-2002, 09:37 AM Lol this whole thread is funny... :buck: :smokin:
Bashing him for terminology is childish :(
However if he has "pulled the wool over customers eyes" so to say, in the past. Then ppl have the right to forwarn others of his misdealings. If he is 100% on top his game he will be able to explain and prove resolution to those issues and inform ppl on how he will avoid these issues in future.
However it doesn't seem tht he can do that or he would have already.
So IMHO this whole thread is bogus and not worth ANYONE's time or consideration.
I agree move this to the isolation forum and lets move on...
PS- Can I have the time I wasted reading/postin to this thread back!!!!!!!
E-Insites 07-25-2002, 04:52 PM We have bought from him before, without any problems. We have two Cpanel Licenses with him, and they both work well, and he is always on time with delivering his product to us on time.
Just thought I woul add this.
Chicken 07-26-2002, 10:08 PM Ok, well it is too late to clean the entire thread, so this one gets closed. I hope to never read another 'our' datacenter post again, as it has been discussed, is a general 'issue' (if you want to call it that), not specifically pertaining to only this host.
