This is none of my business, but I noticed that on Host Rocket's site, at http://hostrocket.com/corporate/center.htm , on the bottom it saysCopyright © 2001 HostRocket.com. All rights are reserved. Site developed by ceonex, inc.But on the main page it saysCopyright © 2001 HostRocket.com. All rights are reserved. Site developed by PixelBrick.comI'm assuiming that PixelBrick built their whole site. I don't know why it says ceonex on that page...

From what I can tell, PixelBrick is simply a brand extension of Ceonex.

Take a look at http://www.ceonex.com/about/history3.htm:
- 2001, Q3, Establishes new product brand "PixelBrick.com"

And at http://www.pixelbrick.com/company/vision.htm:
- Q3, 2001: CEONEX, INC. updates its online brand identity from its previous website VFXUSA.com by launching its new brand and website PIXELBRICK.com

Perhaps they contracted the work with Ceonex before PixelBrick even existed, so the early version of the design contained the Ceonex copyright and they just forgot to change the name on that page when Ceonex launched PixelBrick.

Or maybe they left it there intentionally to confuse people like iamdave. ;)

Hello,
First of all Ceonex is Pixel Brick and Pixel Brick is Ceonex. Pixel Brick opened a site dedicated to consulting and they put Ceonex on it. I talk to the gain at Pixel Brick so that is why i know!:)

But I guess the "gain" at PixelBrick tells you otherwise.

Im pretty sure that Ceonex is a new name for their old consulting company, and that PixelBrick is the name of the design company. So while the company name Ceonex is newer than that of PixelBrick, the actual company Ceonex has been around longer than PixelBrick operating under a different name... that make sense? Tim is correct in that the brand Ceonex is newer than PixelBrick.

PixelBrick used to be VFX Productions Inc.
VFXUSA.com ( http://www.vfxusa.com/originalvfxusasite.htm )

-Brendan But it doesn't make sense that on the ceonex site, they would say that:

Yes it does, they changed the name of their consulting company as well as what they do I believe, from VFX to Ceonex, and updated the company history along with it.

So..Let me recap as I understand it:

PixelBrick is iamdave

Ceonex has gained something but I am not quite sure what.

iamdave gets paid 45K a year.

Well I think that clears all that up nicely.

How did you come to that conclusion?

It wouldn't make much sense of iamdave being the owner of PixelBrick yet posting this about his own (?) company:

I'm assuiming that PixelBrick built their whole site. I don't know why it says ceonex on that page...

iamdave is not PixelBrick. Coenex was formally VFX, and PixelBrick is a brand established by Coenex. The development of the HostRocket website came to a total of around 45K.

Simon If I was PixelBrick's owner I would probably make 45K a month not a year, and I wouldn't post here as often as I do. HINT: If PixelBrick wants a new owner, I'm free!:stickout

If you keep reading Synthetic's signiture, over, and over, eventually the penny will drop. Then you will gain a penny. Then Brendan will call you, and later change his name to -Brendna.

Aren't we important ..

Ceonex is a consulting company, targeted at hig end customers, not those asking "can you design me a layout for 100.00" .. pixelbrick is one of their consulting services (web design) .. what is so complicated about that .. ;)

When you have 50K to design a site, you don't sproach a designer and tell him, "hey, I got allot of mullah, make me a copy of Hostrocket's site :D" .. you go to a consulting firm, one that helps you in how to target your maket, what and how to advertise, how to present yourself ot your clients, etc etc .. BEFORE you even thing of a website .. ceonex is just that

I for once think they are in the right track to be a big name in the Consulting business for medium to large web based companies :)
