I like what you've done with the cp. Are you willing to explain the steps you took to do it? What files did you edit? Where are they?

Thanks, :)

Hi Thanks for your prompt reply. We used

Mysql
Jave
HTML

to write the cp. took us aroud 2 weeks.
alot of research went into doing this.

due to having to find out how the existing cp worked. and then
step by step we reprogramed the cp

You mean you rewrote the whole thing?

I thought (from looking at it) that you just customized the default raq templates.

Wow that's quite a feat, to rewrite the RaQ cp... Good job :)

We did use the same scripts. but we totaly redone the templates.
None of cobalts codeing Accept the main scripts exists.

We are still working on new ideas to add into the cp. we are working around the clock to do this. and once done we are going to offer it has OPEN SOURCE CODE

I think it looks great!!!

I see you added MySQL, Fileman, and Neomail to the CP, cool.

To bad I will be switching to Ensim boxes :(

Once we are happy with what we have done. we are going to make a .pkg install file for it. so you can install it on you cobalt servers very easy. we will also look into making it available on cobalts.com packages

Tomcat was very easy to install on the raq.

when we release our new control panel
the package will include

tomcat
and will also configer the mysql database for the cp

Sorry, I should have been more specific.
The Cobalt implementation of Tomcat sucks. I've been trying to upgrade to Tomcat 4.0.4 for the last few weeks to allow for more advanced options plus better control and more economical memeory usage.

Hi. Thanks for your email. we have the old version installed.
Tomcat is only being used for the cp site of java.

Ah well...
I was hoping to find somebody who'd managed to upgrade it and connect it to Apache coz I'm at a complete loss

if you goto www.quick-hosting.co.uk/supportdesk

Register there
put a support request to upgrade your tomcat

and list

your servers ip address
root/admin password

and i will see that you get the tomcat upgraded

Well Thanks.

I am some what impressed with the response with regards to my new control panel.
My future plans are to replace the Cobalt Admin Control Panel (System Management)
To include more features. My aim is to provide a top notch control system for the cobalt raq that every one will want to use. I have lots of research yet to do.
