Hi All,

Having my site redesigned and I'll be looking to utilize advertising to help offset the cost of maintaining the site. I'm going to use OpenAds to serve the ad content, and am currently trying to setup a list of guidelines for advertisers. Just wondering if anyone could point me to a good example of what I should be looking at restricting? So far I have been looking at things such as no flash, no sound, no use of strong colors and no larger than 100kb. I'm wondering about banning flash though and rich media though as most seem to use it these days...

Secondly a bit of a touchy subject. It seems that ad blocking software is getting more and more popular these days, which is obviously a problem for content based websites that depend on advertising revenue. Regardless of how ad blocking came to be, I was just wondering if anyone owning a content based website had taken the step of prohibiting the use of ad blocking software in their terms of service? Not saying it would ultimately do much, but at least then you'd have it in the TOS.
