Just curious whether anyone has managed to copy the Raq OS to another Intel-based computer?

The advantages of this are obvious since the Raq contains Domain Management Software that is quite idiot-proof, handling email and web setup with ease (relative to other solutions of course).

Before you flame me that it is illegal/unethical, remember it's just a question (of course I wouldn't mind links/tips on how it can be done) :)

Thanks in advance!

You'll get flamed because you did'nt use the search button :-)

There's been a recent topic about this http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=44395&highlight=restore (http://http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=44395&highlight=restore)

I searched using "Raq", "OS", "Copy", "PC", "Intel" but couldn't find it.

Damn it doesn't work it seems (though I haven't tried it myself yet). Hope someone can prove me wrong. :(

Sorry Fiber I meant I had read the post and thus concluded that it 'doesn't work it seems' for the Raq OS porting, NOT the search for the topic itself :cartman:

My mistake! :D

I will try cloning the Raq4 myself to a normal PC, and then trying to figure it out from there to see if it works... will keep you guys posted. ;)

Try it ;)

The OS won't work...
The CP will...
