EvilMan 07-16-2007, 04:55 PM They are reselling with multiple providers again. They are not allowed to be a registar at this time. jtodd 07-16-2007, 06:12 PM I seem to remember them originally reselling from eNom. The single name I have with their company (and don't use anymore, so haven't transfered out) is showing GoDaddy as the registrar. I must say I'm a littl surprised to see a court issue an order to have a notice on their website. It seems more logical that a court would make them close up shop after what has happened. stub 07-16-2007, 07:49 PM Afaik, they are still taking your money and not providing any service. At least from the few posts I've seen lately about them. I just don't understand why anyone would EVER consider trusting them again after all the money and domains they've misappropriated over the years. specialty 07-17-2007, 07:38 PM I lost all the money I had in Registerfly. I asked Godaddy about it and they said I was pretty screwed. mrzippy 07-30-2007, 05:54 PM Afaik, they are still taking your money and not providing any service. At least from the few posts I've seen lately about them. I just don't understand why anyone would EVER consider trusting them again after all the money and domains they've misappropriated over the years. That's easy. Reputation. There are still thousands of "I love registerfly!" posts littering the web (mostly old blog posts), from when registerfly was actually a decent company. I think many many many people see these posts, and then they go over to registerfly and get a domain. After all, if you didn't know about the registerfly scandal, how is the "average" consumer supposed to know there is anything wrong with them? Even the big "NOTICE" on their front page means very little to the average non-techy Joe who just wants to register a domain, and has been "referred" to registerfly through some old link and already has a pre-conceived idea that it's a good company, etc... What they need, is a big sign on their homepage that says, "WE SUCK! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!" :) DsGames 07-30-2007, 07:47 PM Good God. I just signed up here to ask a question about Registerfly. I guess I got lucky. Though I now have a new problem... Dan541 07-30-2007, 11:36 PM has anyone spotted this? http://www.registerfly.com/notice.php They still display the ICANN logo bottom left of their homepage.
