hi all!
hope this is right section :)
is there any other way to stream mp3's other than
http://www.shoutcast.com/download/serve.phtml
cause the above one goes to shoutcast.com then to listener
I'm on cable, is there any other way
to stream directly from my com to a listener???

I think you are a little confused on the process. Your listing on shoutcast.com is optional. If you want to stream directly to your server you will need to download the server tool on the page you listed, set it up to broatcast to the server running on your website ( if you have a dedicated server this is the best option ) and then edit your webpage to the link.
If not then you can just stream from your computer and edit your website and link the stream to your personal computer. The shoutcast software has a function to either be listed in yp.shoutcast.com -- (the yellow pages of shoutcast) or not. Its easy to turn it off and on. Good luck.

I understand how it works but maybe by turning off
on the yellow pages of shoutcast, my listners(usualy its one listner) won't get such a big delay like 20 seconds,
although I gave him direct link
http://My-IP-Address:8000/listen.pls
so I was wondering if there any other software to do this
I'll try turning off the yellow pages

www.icecast.org -- same concept different software www.live365.com
There are a few more - checkout www.streamclub.com I believe it is. Good luck.
