At least you could get it to crash. I can't get the Windows client to do anything.

I think it needs a bit more work, but otherwise, looks like a great solution if we can ever get it working :)

i was wondering how come it aint working at all. i was just blaming my pc.

i dont feel TrioLive will get to reach anywhere near that soon. (actually even in a long time)

Were you using the hosted version of TrioLive? We are actually in the process of upgrading our database there to speed things up -- latency is nine times out of ten the reason for freezes and crashes with the desktop app, since it's entirely dependent on the server for its data.

If latency can crash your software, it reflects really badly of it.

It isn't hard to set a timeout before giving the user a "Failed to contact server" message, rather than just crash abruptly.

Actually, since version 1.10 (out 6/21 of this year) we do have a timeout to detect latency. I know I omitted that from previous message -- sorry!

No it was hosted on our hosting. And i have been using the 1.10 version.

It didnt allow me write even a full word. It acted in a way that i was sure the problem must me with my pc.. not your product. (yes my experience was that bad!)

That's really an unusual experience. We're actually up to 1.13 now with the desktop application, but being able to type in only part of a sentence is a first for us. If you still have the installation, please consider submitting a support ticket (via activecampaign.com/support/). We really would like to get to the bottom of the problem for you.

Basically i am now considering to go with ProvideSupport.com hosted solution. (I am planning to go with owned version of ActiveTrio though)

But if it helps you with debugging i can provide you access with the installation.

Thanks for submitting the ticket. I responded to it earlier -- I think upgrading to the latest desktop client should fix it.

Hmm, I thought it's just me but now I'm not so certain.

When I try to type something, the first click in the desktop app chat window box will always cause the application to freeze for about 1 second, before I am allowed type. If I click somewhere outside then in again, I get the same lag.

I suspect it's the part where it's informing the server the operator's typing that's the problem.
Maybe you should allow an option to disable this, because otherwise it's pretty good to me.

It is

From what I've seen (so far) with this application, I've had no crashes whatsoever. I've had a few individuals reply that they don't get the responses fast enough (they say they're waiting 5m), but that could easily be on their end, or a problem with latency, because logs show nothing of the like.

I've been using it a few months now and haven't had any critical issues with it at all.

It might be my connection, but even so there shouldn't be a lag of 1 second.

I would accept a lag when I submit a message, not when I start typing it.

I actually have never heard of this software. I'm gonna take a look but I have always been really happy with Timpani.
