Watch out for Host Gator - you might just be shocked to find a great deal, along with amazing service and reliability even better than stated!

A few years back, the hosting service provider I was using had an unfortunate server crash. Sure, these things happen - not a big deal - but what followed was. The provider told me, repeatedly that things would be up "in a few hours" - a week later I was fed up, after too many excuses, no action and losing a few customers, I decided to look for a new company, which is when I came across a brief review of Host Gator by one of its customers on a forum somewhere.

Well, to put it briefly: all of my sites were up and running within a few short hours, and have never gone down since. Maybe it's just timing - I'm not sure - but I've never, in three years, even had a glitch with Host Gator! Email and sites have always functioned, 24/7. Fast, and they even set up a non-advertised plan just for me at a special price.

Why am I so inspired to write about some hosting company? I suppose it's because I'm completely used to bad/incompetent service with just about everything in my life: power, telephone, cell phones, cable - you name it, that when a company like Host Gator comes along and completely blows this expectation out of the water - I feel I have to spread the news.

Go look for yourself!

Domain received. It is indeed hosted by Hostgator.

I personally never experienced any trouble in that time - not once. Obviously the server has to be rebooted occasionally for patches etc., but like I said in the next sentence, I must have had good timing.

Seriously, I could not recommend a company more. I've sent about 20 people their way, and have yet to hear any complaints from them either.

I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping they keep the current management on for quite some time to come. Good businesses have their 'corporate culture' set by those at the top, and right now Hostgator (or Host Gator) has the right attitude.
