I just purchased 80+ domains from someone and they are currently registered at Name.com. A week ago, Godaddy initiated domain transfer on my behalf. They told me I should be receiving email regarding the transfer in a few days.

A week has passed and I have not reveived anything. So I called them up today and the rep told me that the email was sent to an email address. Turns out to be the email address belongs to the prior owner. As a matter of fact, all the info on the Godaddy WHO IS is still showing the prior owner info. I went to check my account info on the control panel at Name.com, it should that all the info (adim, owner, tech and billing) are all belong to me. The info has been there for two weeks already.

Now my questions are, 1. would it be possible that the Name.com database is not updated to the ICCAN WHO IS database? Since I do see my info in the control panel. 2. How can I get my domains info updated so that the transfer can go smoothly? Many of the domains will expire on 8/1 and I do not want to renew them at Name.com and then transfer them to Godaddy and pay for two years renewal (one year at Name.com and one at Godaddy) instead of one year.

Based on what you've stated so far, it appears Name.com isn't displaying the correct WHOIS data for those domain names. Try "resubmitting" the information in your domain names (change contact info to same or another), give it 24 hours, then use Name.com's WHOIS to see if those domain names are showing the right data.

If it's still not by then, contact Name.com and give specifics.

The one you posted is a .name. Global Name Registry gave some info, but I can't find anything on their site on how to interpret the data:

Are all those domain names .names or other extensions? OTOH, you'll likely have to contact Name.com about this.

Thank you for the follow up. I checked one of the none .name domain on the Name.com WHO IS and it is still showing the prior owner's info. I have sent an email to their support term. Beside that, I do not know what to do.
