View Full Version : Reccomend me a good ticketing+knowledge base+live chat software?
Bounceweb 07-11-2007, 06:04 PM I'm looking at Kayako Support Suite, it's not a bad price (I think) for everything together. Does anyone else have any suggestions before I spend money on it? Thanks.
Edit: Except for the fact that it will be Kayako branded even though you pay huge for it. It costs $100 to remove the branding :|
supportskins 07-11-2007, 06:46 PM You can now remove the Kayako information from the browser window title. You need to pay for branding free only if you wish to remove the copyright information from the software footer, admin cp and staff cp.
Mxhub 07-12-2007, 06:40 AM The branding is remove for life. I think $100 is a good price.
Kayako suits us perfectly. The only things I'd say are not great is the KB editor and comments. To use images in the KB, you need to upload separately and then link manually. Not the end of the world, but an annoying detail. As for the article (and download, et al) comments, you can't easily turn this off, and it's a spammer target. I had to completely disable by not only editing the templates to remove the viewable bits, but also disable the PHP files responsible for adding comments to the db because they were being submitting directly. No referrer checking on that it would seem.
Other than those two items. I love it.
gate2vn 07-12-2007, 08:31 AM As bear mentioned, some sections in Kayako is spam target. We are using Kayako as ticket system only. All other, KB, news... we are moving to forums. I am still considering their Live chat, it's a bit expensive, and high annual updating fee.
Overall, when saying about ticket system, it's a good one
ActivI 07-12-2007, 10:25 AM Kayako is a good system. But it's not perfect, like anything else ;)
We're testing an application that is better than Kayako, although it's only going to be released to the public in some months. We've implemented it in several call centers, ranging from 100 to 400 agents each, with great success, so far at least.
It's still in closed beta testing so I can't disclose anything else at the moment. My point is: Kayako is a good choise and widely used.
GPearce 07-12-2007, 02:04 PM Kayako is good, i have used it a couple of times, but as bear says, KB is a lot of work to customize perfectly.. Other than that, its awesome, never found any other problems :)
linux-tech 07-12-2007, 06:49 PM Kayako support is absolutely horrific. From delaying release of (paid) product up to 3 days to leavin support tickets opened for weeks without any sort of a response, the support from these guys is absolutely horrible.
supportskins 07-13-2007, 04:22 AM From what I understand, Kayako support has improved alot in the last few months with their Live Support being online 5 days a week and constant updates on their forums. It certainly has improved.

Actually, their support improved. It's better than before! :)
dotcomUNDERGROUND 07-13-2007, 05:46 AM SupportTrio and TrioLive.
I am planning to go with them.
DreamWareXp 07-13-2007, 08:24 PM You need to give Saeven/CRM a try. You will be suprised at the quality/features/support/funtion. They are coming out with a new version very soon that will knock their curretn version socks off. I have been using it since its birth. http://www.auraclesupport.com
